Ideally the successful applicant will have experience in:
Wills and estate planning
Deceased estates
Residential conveyancing
Key responsibilities and requirements include:
Drafting wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents
Preparing applications for grants of probate and letters of administration
Drafting correspondence to clients, beneficiaries, and other stakeholders
Organising and maintaining physical and electronic client files
Ensuring all documents are accurately filed and easily accessible
Communicating with clients to gather information and provide updates on their matters
Gathering and verifying information related to estate assets and liabilities
Assisting with PEXA settlements
PEXA Specific Duties
Executing property settlements electronically through the PEXA platform.
Inviting participants, such as clients' new legal representatives, into the PEXA workspace before withdrawing from ongoing matters.
Ensuring all settlement documents are correctly signed and uploaded onto the PEXA platform.
Monitoring outstanding tasks within the PEXA workspace and ensuring their completion ahead of settlement deadlines.
Coordinating with relevant parties to ensure compliance with PEXA procedures and guidelines.

We currently do not have a family law department. However, we have a very strong and loyal client base and we receive regular enquiries from people wanting a trusted family lawyer. It is an exciting opportunity for someone who would be interested in building up the practice area from scratch. Given it will be a new department, there will be little pressure for billing in the initial growth phase. There is a thorough understanding that it may be a slow process to build up the practice area, and we can guarantee the role will be ongoing for the right candidate. Your job will be to conduct the work which comes in to a high standard and to engage in some marketing. We are open to the role being full-time or part-time depending on your requirements. Ideally the successful applicant will have experience in:
Family Law
Key responsibilities and requirements include:
Ideally 2-3 years PAE
A high level of understanding of Family Law
Ability to work independently and manage own file load
Ability to work in a small team environment
